Because of answer to prayer, Three Angels Broadcasting Network is available worldwide via satellite!
3ABN can be received worldwide through five different satellites:
-
In North America and Central America, 3ABN can be received on satellite AMC-4, transponder 6 at 11,807 MHz.
-
Most of the United States can receive 3ABN on the Sky Angel subscription service, channel 9710.
-
In South America, Central America, Europe, and eastern parts of North America, 3ABN can be received on satellite PAS-9.
-
In Europe, northern regions of North Africa and western regions of the Middle East, 3ABN can be received on Hot Bird 5.
-
In Australia and most of Asia, Africa, and Europe, 3ABN can be received on Thaicom-3.
- In Australia and New Zealand, 3ABN can be received on OPTUS-B3.
3ABNs signal is transmitted from our uplink center in Illinois to two satellites: AMC-4 at 101 degrees west, which spans the USA and Canada; and PAS-9 at 58 degrees west, which reaches South and Central America and relays the signal to Europe. In France the signal is received and rebroadcast on the Hot Bird 5 satellite at 13 degrees east. This strong European signal is received in Israel and rebroadcast to the Thaicom-3 satellite located at 78.5 degrees east which covers the African, Asian and Australian continents.
The Hot Bird satellites are arranged in a configuration of five satellites in a row, allowing the viewer to receive over 100 free-to-air stations, including 3ABN. It is important to have a DVB-MPEG2 compatible receiver to be able to access the 3ABN digital signal on Hot Bird 5.
If you are capable of receiving any of these new broadcasts, Moses Primo, head of our engineering department, would appreciate your feedback with the following information: your country, location, dish size in centimeters and signal strength. Please e-mail your information to tech@3abn.org.
